The challenge
The Smackover Refinery was predicting fouling limitations in their hydrotreater pre-heat train using an Excel spreadsheet. It worked, but it lived in one place and demanded expertise in PI Asset Framework and advanced analytics that was hard to build and even harder to keep.
They needed a way to get meaningful insight out of their AVEVA PI System without pulling their process team off the plant floor to build and maintain it.
What we did
Industrial Insight built PI AF and PI Vision analytics tools that turn the data the plant already collects into quick, meaningful information. The team could hand us a general concept and get back a finished product, with very little oversight needed along the way.
The result was analytics the plant could actually use day to day, not a one-off spreadsheet that only one person understood.

The tools deliver quick and meaningful data analytics without consuming onsite personnel hours. Just as important, they are built to last: future personnel can use them to make fast insights and decisions without extensive retraining.
