In this conversation, Paul Sheremeto of Pattern Discovery talks with me about why getting good, quality data into the PI System is important and how his company had to develop a tool to do automatic tag tuning. He and his team simply couldn't deliver value to their customers because the data quality was so bad. It was an arduous process to do tag tuning and adjust exception and compression settings, so they built CompressionInsight. They have made some recent improvements that we will be showing in later videos, but this video talks about why it is so important.
