The challenge
Industrial Insight had done some data quality work with MPC using Pattern Discovery’s CompressionInsight software. Since we had shown a strong skill set around the PI System and data health, MPC asked for us to expand the help we offered. MPC was struggling to get PI health and PI data quality audits done in a timely manner.
What we did
We built PowerShell scripts to push data to a SQL database and visualized the results using Dimension Software’s Asset Intellect to replace the manual, repetitive work that was eating up several experts’ time.
The result
The scripts eliminated the need for multiple subject matter experts to spend one to two weeks onsite manually screen scraping information. MPC now has the ability to monitor and provide governance of the site PI Systems across the fleet in real-time.
