OUR STORY
Founded to keep good jobs where they belong
Industrial Insight was founded by Jim Gavigan on a simple conviction: the data plants already collect can save jobs.

In 2010, Jim and a colleague ran a project that used a customer's own data to help them double their business and build a new factory. It was the moment he saw what data could really do on the plant floor.
​
In 2013, he joined OSIsoft as an account manager, and heard the same story again and again. Companies were saving millions by using their data proactively, yet just as often teams saw the value and simply did not have the time or the people to capture it. In 2015 he left to work with the PI System hands on, and in December 2016 he started Industrial Insight to close that exact gap, helping companies become not just data rich, but information rich.
Jim watched factories close and jobs move overseas. He built Industrial Insight to help manufacturers in small-town America compete, turning raw data into decisions, and keeping good jobs where they belong.
